About Taunaki

taunaki
- verb
to support, recommend, reinforce.
wellness
- noun
1. the quality or state of being healthy in body and mind, esp. as the result of deliberate effort.
2. an approach to healthcare that emphasizes preventing illness and prolonging life, as opposed to emphasizing treating diseases.
Taunaki.com started as an idea to help people easier find a good wellness provider based on recommendations from others who had tried it. We also wanted make it easier for our users to find precisely that massage or wellness product they were searching for. Another important desire was to help people find their way through the wellness-jungle, helping them to understand the many different offers and treatments which are in the industry today. As we developed the core of Taunaki, other ideas were added and some were removed or delayed for later versions.
What we stand with today is just a step towards the final product, if such can be found. We're always looking for more ways to expand and improve the basic idea of information about wellness for the users, and if you have ideas and suggestions on how to make Taunaki a better experience and how we can provide you with a better service, please don't hesitate to let us know.
